Just redownloaded Horizon Chase after looking up the FP article about cartoonish racing games, and my hometown is in it!
Right there, at the bottom of the Brazilian stages, Porto Alegre, which also happens to be the game developers’ hometown. Not just that, but the exact street where I live is represented as well
Well, probably, my street is pretty famous for its foliage canopy, so I guess this is supposed to be it. I can almost see my home from there!

Cool! I lived in Rome for about a year and ended up hanging out with a lot of Brazilians. My best friend of the group was from Porto Alegre.

Horizon Chase gets a bit repetitive, but I really liked this game. It is very retro.
It reminded me a lot of Final Lap Twin. It came with my Turbo Graphic 16. It was my first race game, and was also my first RPG game. It had upgrades! The dirt tracks were awesome!

I haven’t had an itch to play video games in a long time, but this one has me so intrigued. I absolutely love the simple and colorful graphics. How are the sound effects and driving dynamics in your opinion? I’ve read on here it’s arcade enough to be forgiving, but still realistic enough to be rewarding when getting the technique right.

Porto Alegre is the shit :D! I t’s not the largest, most popular, or even best known capital in the country, and some people will probably say there’s really nothing special about it or even that it kinda sucks, but of the minority that really loves it here. It’s a big enough city to be interesting, but small enough that you get to know it like the back of your hand after a few years, plus it’s far enough away from São Paulo and Rio that it has its own character and flavor. Porto Alegre feels like that old childhood house with the huge backyard that just makes you feel right at home

Sam e here, I only still care about the most casual stuff or old SNES games, since I still have my SNES set up in theiving room. As for HC, I don't think I'd call it realistic at all, it's pretty much take all corners flatout arcade, but that's what makes it fun. It's a different skillset than you's use in Forza or GT for example.

I don’t think I’ve actually pl ayed this one, might have to look it up... back in the 16 bit days, I loved F1 Grand Prix 1 and 2, and it always bummed me that there were no Indycar games at that level back then.
